For the third year in a row, my chiptune cover album opens with Homestuck. Perhaps it serves as a reminder that Homestuck will never leave my soul no matter how many years pass. I chose this song because it uses a lot of chiptune instruments already and would fit Famitracker like a glove.
The hardest part about covering Malcolm Brown's Homestuck songs is the bass. He often doesn't put in discernible basslines, so I typically have to fill the triangle channel with repeating notes. This song does have a slap bass two thirds of the way through, which was a real challenge to replicate in Famitracker.
